About us

Our Story

IN THE HEART OF CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS, JOSEPH ISAAC GENTY is a well-known master barber in the community.  He is recognized internationally for the reputation that he has built in Haiti and in the Cambridge community, which he serves with respect and dignity for over 38 years.

In Memory of my late father Louis O. Genty who served this nation for 50 years, we are grateful to his work and proud of his legacy.  He left his son Joseph Isaac Genty to continue to be a servant of the people of Massachusetts and around the world; from a Barber shop to Isaac Genty Foundation Inc.  we created a foundation to start investing in people’s life to restored human being in his entirety  not only through a hair cut but a new living condition from head to toe. The Foundation goals are to educate, feed, create a lifetime living condition,  and to invest in the person as a whole.  One of the goals of the Foundation is to create Clinics and Hospitals at low cost to help low income families with health care around the globe.

But among all, children and youth are our number one priority.   In addition to that, we want to provide more services to vulnerable children and youth here and abroad in low-income communities.  The Foundation saw an opportunity to rethink traditional and affordable care for all by making the world better through social services.  Mr. Genty has an extensive background in Human Services before entering the nonprofit field, he realized that feeding and educating the families in these communities provides an excellent platform for delivering impact-driven programs and services to vulnerable families, youth, and seniors with few resources available to them. Mr. Genty's knowledge of social services combined with the management work to build a supportive community that fosters social empowerment. At the heart of love approach, Mr. Genty believes the affordable life living community must go “beyond the bricks and mortar,” we need improvement within the community and mapped those needs against local resources and service provision partners. From local police departments to youth development organizations, we can build partnerships across a spectrum of human services. These critical partnerships will have an immediate impact on the community as was evidenced by a notable decrease in violence and an increase in residents finding meaningful, sustainable employment.
